The list that follows forms part of James Halliday's Top 100 Wines of 2018.
The four rieslings came from the Eden Valley, Canberra and Western Australia, with two aged semillons from the Hunter Valley. The sauvignon blanc spot was taken by three SBS blends before chardonnay swooped with 10 wines, half from Margaret River, two from the Yarra Valley, one each from Tasmania, Geelong and the Adelaide Hills.
The ahead 20 wines were chosen from 234 submitted.
