The list that follows forms part of James Halliday's Top 100 Wines of 2018.
The change in the price barrier from $25 to $30 had little impact in this still highly competitive market. The 62 wines shortlisted could have provided three totally different selections, each offering great value. The three rosés, three pinots, five shirazs, three grenache blends, two cabernet blends and four cabernets here all shine.
The ahead 20 wines were chosen from 282 submitted.
