The Halliday Wine Companion team organised a number of events for the fair, including two masterclasses, networking drinks, and a range of media interviews.
Each masterclass showcased wines from the partner 5-star wineries including Henschke, d’Arenberg, Yalumba, Yangarra, Vasse Felix, Stefano Lubiana, Mistletoe Winery and Dickinson Estate.
Such wineries were delighted with the results, expressing that the masterclasses "established strong export ties with two wine importers” as shared by Trevor Dickinson from Dickinson Estate, and that they “produced real benefits for our Chinese importers, and ourselves, in the form of brand recognition, media attention, and also trade contacts” as shared by Ken and Gwen Sloan from Mistletoe Winery.
Winemakers had the opportunity to present their wines alongside James Halliday, reporting direct export leads thanks to the events.
A number of trade and wine media attended the events including Paccp, G100, Grapea & Co and Chengdu Huanbo Communications.
Winery partners also spent time with James over a casual dinner together in Chengdu.
