Oates Ends

Cath Oates returned home to Margaret River after an international winemaking career spanning 15 years. The wines are made from the family Wilagri Vineyard, planted in '99 and now owned and managed by viticulturist brother Russ Oates. Oates Ends is the culmination of both of their respective experience and wine philosophies. The vineyard is run on sustainable farming principles (Cath is also chair of AGW’s Sustainability Advisory Committee). Sheep are a big part of the vineyard program with winter mowing a given and they are increasingly being relied upon for leaf plucking during the growing season. -JAMES HALLIDAY
