Set in an industrial area alongside auto repair shops and surfboard and boat outlets is Dormilona’s cool urban winery and cellar door. The talented Josephine Perry has turned the building into an aesthetically pleasing space that is also functional. Visit to discover another side to Margaret River. Josephine is committed to sustainability, using organic fruit off the Yungarra vineyard, which she leases, and sourcing from like-minded family-owned sites. Jo’s winemaking is minimal intervention, some skin contact with whites and generally eschewing new oak, yet adopts a range of ageing vessels including Italian and Spanish amphorae. Not surprisingly, there’s an Iberian bent to some wines; she spent 7 years working in Spain and still consults there. Josephine crafts eclectic and thoughtful wines, all expressing place,
