St. Leonards Vineyard

Victoria | Rutherglen

Our Review

An old favourite, with a range of premium wines cleverly marketed through an attractive cellar door at the historic winery on the banks of the Murray. It is run by Eliza Brown (director), sister Angela (sales and marketing director) and brother Nick (winemaker/director). They are perhaps better known as the trio who fulfil the same roles at All Saints Estate. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Specialities

The vineyards at St Leonards are home to a mix of classic and curious varieties, from the usual suspects of shiraz, chardonnay and semillon, and the regionally revered durif to the lesser-known cabernet franc. They all seem to like where they are, producing wines with vibrant fruit character and great balance.
