Mitchell Harris Wines

Our Review

Mitchell Harris Wines is a partnership between Alicia and Craig Mitchell and Shannyn and John Harris. John, the winemaker, began his career at Brown Brothers, then spent 8 years as winemaker at Domaine Chandon in the Yarra Valley, cramming in Northern Hemisphere vintages in California and Oregon. The Mitchell and Harris families grew up in the Ballarat area and have an affinity for the Macedon and Pyrenees regions. While the total make is not large, a lot of thought has gone into the creation of each of the wines, which are sourced from the Pyrenees, Ballarat and Macedon regions. Wines can be tasted at Mitchell Harris' atmospheric namesake wine bar in the heart of Ballarat. -JAMES HALLIDAY
