Eldridge

Victoria | Mornington Peninsula

Our Review

It can be tricky taking on an established brand and vineyard, remaining respectful to its history yet wanting to take it to new heights unencumbered. Credit to Eldridge’s new owners, Vicki and Elli Tutungi, who took ownership in late ’22, as they immediately set about ensuring a clear goal: make premium wine and not much. It is why they appointed talented Steve Flamsteed, former Giant Steps winemaker turned consultant to guide Eldridge into a new era. The focus is on 3 varieties and only 3 wines: gamay, chardonnay and pinot noir. It’s going to be an exciting new era at the already revamped and revitalised Eldridge (formerly Eldridge Estate of Red Hill). -CAMPBELL MATTINSON
