Craig and Sandra Aitken's farm property is at Barfold in the southwestern corner of the Heathcote wine region, a cooler portion of the region producing spicy characters in shiraz. So far they have planted 3.8ha of shiraz and 0.4ha of cabernet sauvignon. -JAMES HALLIDAY
