Entropy Wines

Ryan Ponsford might be new to wine but this young man is smart, loaded with talent, commitment and a penchant for hard work. Formerly an artist working with wet plate photography, his path changed after tasting a pinot noir made by William Downie, and then meeting him in ’16. Two years later, William, now a mentor, gifted Ryan some grapes and Entropy began. He’s established a nursery block and is gearing up to plant a high-density vineyard at his Traralgon property. He’s also reinvigorated 2 neglected vineyards where he sources fruit today, 1 in Warragul and the other Willow Grove. His wines are compelling and the Entropy story is exceptional.
