Our Review
Ansted & Co. was started as a busman’s holiday by Tobias Ansted (then winemaker at Balgownie Estate, now at Tellurian Wines). Pressure of work and family commitments led to the sale of the vineyard in '06, but with an agreement to buy back the grapes, and to manage the vineyard. Syrah was the initial planting, followed by marsanne, roussanne and viognier. -JAMES HALLIDAY
