Russell & Suitor

Winemaker and owner Alex Russell is based in Tasmania's Pipers River, where he produces the cool-climate varieties of chardonnay, pinot noir, riesling and sauvignon blanc, under the label Russell & Suitor. He also has a significant focus on alternative varieties under his Alejandro, Franca’s Vineyard and Plums & Roses labels (saperavi, durif, vermentino, lagrein, arneis, nero d’avola, montepulciano, etc), making an extensive range of wines out of his Renmark property in South Australia. In ’16, Alex and his family relocated to Tasmania, where he focuses his attention on new winemaking prospects in Pipers River including the Cazadora label. -ERIN LARKIN
