After the sale of Maglieri Wines to Beringer Blass in '98, Maglieri founder Serafino (Steve) Maglieri acquired the McLarens on the Lake complex originally established by Andrew Garrett. The operation draws upon over 120ha of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, merlot, semillon, barbera, nebbiolo, sangiovese, and grenache; part of the grape production is sold. The Serafino Restaurant, holding two Chef Hat Awards, overlooks Lake McLaren and offers delicious dining.

This unique 30-room resort features 4-star accommodation with solar-heated swimming pool, Serafino Restaurant, conference facilities, function areas with an inviting Cellar Door and an award-winning winery – the home of Serafino Wines.
