Our Review
Patrick Tocaciu (who died in 2013) was a district veteran, with prior careers at Tollana, Heathfield Ridge Winery and Hollick Wines. Wrattonbully plantings (almost 55ha) cover all the major varieties, while in Coonawarra the low-yielding Home Block (cabernet sauvignon) is supplemented by a 2nd vineyard of 17.5ha of cabernet and smaller amounts of riesling and sauvignon blanc. Eldest son Luke, with a degree in oenology from the University of Adelaide and vintage experience in Australia and the US, has taken over in the winery. -JAMES HALLIDAY
