Our Review
In 1866, Liz Heidenreich’s great-great-grandfather Georg Adam Heidenreich, a Lutheran minister, was sent from Hamburg to the Barossa Valley to provide religious care. In 1936, Liz Heidenreich’s grandfather planted vines at Vine Vale; those vines still in production, still owned and managed by the Heidenreich family. Liz decided to follow her family heritage and enrolled in a post-graduate winemaking degree course at the University of Adelaide. She says her spiritual wine homes are the Barossa and Clare valleys. -JAMES HALLIDAY
