Kenny Wine

Kenny Wine is the passion project of Andrew and Victoria Kenny. Andrew is head winemaker at Adelaide Hills institution Pike & Joyce (see separate entry). They source parcels of fruit from across the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley and have also acquired a derelict vineyard in the sub-region of Auburn (planted to shiraz) that they are lovingly returning to good health via adopting biological farming practices. A light-hand approach is paramount to their winemaking philosophy – the aim is to craft small-batch, single-vineyard wines of truth, each celebrating vintage variation and characteristics of site. Andrew has completed successive vintages at Weingut Gabel in Pfaltz, Germany; no doubt his foundation of traditional methods has contributed to the quality of their riesling. -JAMES HALLIDAY
