Our Review
Bourke & Travers is a project focused on 3 vineyards on a single site in the northwest of the Clare Valley. Early plantings of shiraz have been joined by smaller plots of mourvèdre and bush-vine grenache. Eschewing herbicides, pesticides and insecticides, the focus is on sustainable viticulture with resulting wines reflective of such, produced with minimal intervention. Wines have been made since '10 in a variety of styles, honouring the traditional wines of the region, with more recent releases showing a flair for innovation and more vibrant, brighter expressions. -MIKE BENNIE
