Sami-Odi

South Australia | Barossa Valley | Peramangk, Ngadjuri and Kaurna

Our Review

The much sought after and admired wines of Sami-Odi can be considered a benchmark of the ‘New’ Barossa. Fraser McKinley, both talented artist and winemaker, maintains control of every aspect of the wine from label design through to viticulture, winemaking and masterful blending to produce stunning wines of intense purity, freshness and sense of place. Since ’07 the renowned Ebenezer vineyard of Adrian Hoffmans’ Dallwitz block has provided the shiraz for Fraser’s wines, the single-vintage Dallwitz and multi-vintage assemblage the ‘Little Wine’. From ’20, these wines are joined by the ‘Our Hill’ from the McKinley hillside home block on the edge of Angaston. Sami-Odi is one of the Barossa’s finest, from a producer that has redefined the region's reputation for fruit purity and balance. -DAVE BROOKES
