Scanlon

South Australia | Adelaide Hills | Kaurna and Peramangk Country

Our Review

Justin and Harry Scanlon, father and son, respectively, make a formidable duo. Scanlon is the result of a lifelong dream of horticulturist Justin to tend his own vineyard. Harry, having grown up on the vineyard, was immersed in the wine world from a young age. This led to invaluable experiences gained under the late Adelaide Hills winemaking pioneer Taras Ochota. Outside of making wines for Scanlon, you will find Harry working under the guidance of Stephen George and Liam Van Pelt at Ashton Hills (see separate entry). The Piccadilly Valley vineyard is planted to pinot noir (clones Abel, 115, 667 and D5V12) and sauvignon blanc with future plantings of chardonnay and gamay to come. Boy is the future bright. -KATRINA BUTLER
