Our Review
Skimstone is a joint venture between Josh and Kate Clementson and Michael and Anne-Marie Horton; the Clementsons live on and run the estate and cellar door. Josh had previously worked for Orlando (one year), then Peter Logan (five years), and is vineyard manager at Huntington Estate. The partners were thus able to see the potential of the rundown Apple Tree Flat vineyard in 2007, and have since worked hard to bring the vineyard back to full health. -JAMES HALLIDAY
