Heslop Wines

New South Wales | Mudgee | Wiradjuri

Our Review

This is the venture of Bob and Julie Heslop, who returned to Mudgee (where Julie was born) in 1984, purchasing a property across the road from Julie's father's vineyard; the vendor was Ferdie Roth, a member of the famous Mudgee wine family, who had planted the muscat hamburg vines still on the property. Bob's winemaking career began at Kay Brothers in McLaren Vale, while undertaking oenology studies at CSU. Son Liam joined the family business in '17 after working multiple vintages in Sonoma and Piedmonte. Using sustainable viticulture practices, they have planted 4ha to a Joseph's coat of 12 varieties. -JAMES HALLIDAY
