Wild Ren Wines

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

Renee Burton, affectionately known as Ren, launched the Wild Ren label in Aug ’21, with a cellar-door space opening shortly after at Peppers Creek Village on Broke Road, shared with Charteris wines. Having honed her expertise as a co-founder and co-owner of Gundog Estate, Ren’s venture into her own label embodies her vision of creating quality wines from the classic Hunter Valley varieties of semillon, chardonnay and shiraz alongside alternative varieties such as sangiovese and tempranillo, sourced from wider NSW. The wines are bright and fresh with a modern sensibility and have broad appeal due to their approachable, fruit-focused nature. Grapes are sourced from esteemed vineyards in the Hunter Valley, Hilltops, Central Ranges and Tumbarumba regions, with solid grower relationships ensuring continuity of sourcing from year to year. -JAMES HALLIDAY
