Poachers Vineyard, owned by the Bruce family, shares its home with the Poachers Pantry, a renowned gourmet smokehouse. The quality of the wines is very good. The northeast-facing slopes, at an elevation of 720m, provide some air drainage and hence protection against spring frosts. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Poachers was built on the love of good food and sharing it with family and friends. The Smokehouse Restaurant provides the perfect place to celebrate with family or catch-up with friends amongst a relaxed country landscape. Our 5-course lunch menu focuses on seasonal, regional produce and wines that come from the Poachers Vineyard. We use organic ingredients from our kitchen garden; the herbs and vegetables are picked fresh and delivered straight to the kitchen. Our range of Poachers smoked meats is showcased on our Smokehouse Snacks menu and is available for purchase from our Farm Shop before you head home. Mon and Tues: curate your own Smokehouse Picnic with fare from our Farm Shop. Wed to Sun: enjoy Smokehouse Snacks and cheese. Thurs to Sun: Executive Chef Adam Wilson has created a stunning seasonal Sharing Menu. Reservations are recommended.
