Teusner

Teusner is a partnership between former Torbreck winemaker Kym Teusner and Javier Moll, and is typical of the new wave of winemakers determined to protect very old, low-yielding, dry-grown Barossa vines. Their approach in the winery is one of minimal intervention, open fermentation, manual pump-overs and the use of seasoned French oak. As each year passes, the consistency, quality (and range) of the wines increases – with their mataro of considerable note. There must be an end point, but it’s not easy to guess when, or even if, it will be reached.
