Marionette Peach Liqueur

Fresh fruit is challenging to work with, so Marionette gets full points for difficulty here, and their peach liqueur is reasonable. There's no use of chemically isolated flavouring concentrates – which often pass for 'natural' flavouring – and which most commercial products rely on. The stewed peach notes shine in a mixed drink, especially with sherry. And it's a far more subtle and nuanced way to add fruit sweetness to a cocktail than a sugary commercial liqueur, so it's very much fit for purpose, though there is a lack of clarity on the nose and it does render as slightly flabby on the palate. Not one to drink neat.
