Just in: nine newly reviewed wines to try this January

New year, new wines! The Halliday Tasting Team is currently hard at work reviewing wines for the 2027 Halliday Wine Companion (released this August), which means we're publishing more reviews online than ever.

If you need help narrowing down what to try from the hundreds of new tasting notes, we've pulled nine standouts for you to add to your list. Think a 96-point chardonnay from Margaret River with "heady aromas of lemon blossom and sea breeze" and a "wonderfully satisfying" cabernet sauvignon from Mudgee.
